The Role Veeva is looking for a Senior Back-end Engineer to join our team in Beijing. This engineer will be responsible for China CRM's applications development of our SaaS cloud products.

What You’ll Do

• SaaS platform architecture design, improvement and implementation, technology selection

• Analyze business requirements and provide business implementation solutions

• Work with front-end engineers, product managers and QA engineers to ensure product quality and development progress

• Based on the understanding of the business, improve the user experience of the product and use technology to drive business development

• Design and deploy LLM-based AI Agents, integrating Agent capabilities into core business scenarios to boost product intelligence.

Build core Agent capabilities (Function Calling/Tool Use, memory, planning, and multi-Agent collaboration); build and optimize RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, and related workflows.

• Tracking and researching cutting-edge technologies and applying them to the company's product development (including LLMs and AI Agents)

• Needs to use python for development

Qualifications And Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.

• 5+ years of software development experience.

• Proven experience in SaaS platform software design and development.

• Demonstrated experience in designing large-scale distributed systems.

• Hands-on project experience with AI Agents or LLM applications; proficiency in at least one mainstream framework (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, AutoGen).

• Familiarity with key technologies including RAG, prompt engineering, Function Calling, and vector databases. Knowledge of Agent ecosystem protocols like MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of common data structures and algorithms.

• Proficient in relational database design and development.

• Deep understanding of object-oriented design (OOD) principles.

• Mastery of at least one mainstream programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++).

• Familiarity with web development frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, Spring).

• Passionate about technology, logically minded, optimistic, and adept at collaborating across cross-functional teams.
