Opportunities in India

Mactores is the agent-native AWS modernization firm. Most modernization work doesn't ship, it stalls in pilots, slips a year, or lands at three times the budget. We exist to ship it: production systems running, legacy retired, outcomes measured. Our delivery is built on Aedeon, the agent platform built by Mactores' founders' sister company, which absorbs the repetitive 60–70% of engagement work, discovery, dependency mapping, validation, test generation, that traditional consulting bills human hours against. Forward-deployed engineers own the rest: architecture, judgment, and cutover, on dates we commit to in the contract.

When a firm signs fixed dates and absorbs its own overages, project management stops being status theater and becomes the delivery mechanism. You'll lead a large-scale data center migration and modernization program moving workloads, applications, and infrastructure to AWS planning the waves, tracking the risks, aligning engineering, architecture, security, and business teams, and keeping the committed date defensible every single week. The engineers own the technical judgment. You own the schedule they ship against and the communication the customer plans against.

Lead end-to-end planning and execution of the data center migration to AWS: assessment, discovery, design, migration waves, and stabilization. Drive modernization initiatives containerization, refactoring, re-platforming, and automation improvements. Develop and maintain project plans, migration wave schedules, RAID logs, communication plans, and status reports. Keep activities aligned with cloud adoption frameworks, enterprise architecture guidelines, and the client's business objectives. Track scope, priorities, risks, dependencies, delays, and deliverables across multiple workstreams — surface slippage before it costs the date. Serve as the primary point of contact between engineering teams, leadership, and client stakeholders. Run steering committee meetings, sprint reviews, and technical workstream syncs. Align cross-functional teams: cloud architects, network/security teams, DevOps, and application owners. Manage vendor relationships and third-party integrators involved in migration execution. Run daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives. Facilitate internal and external architecture discussions and review calls, and document decisions with teams working across India and three US time zones. Proactively produce meeting notes and weekly customer presentations; keep project documents and recorded calls organized. Review and approve employee timesheets and leaves; manage the team calendar. Keep the customer ahead of the project, not behind it — proactively communicate status, risks, and requests. Own customer escalations and drive them to resolution. Negotiate scope changes with the documentation to back them — a fixed date only holds if scope is managed in writing.

Aedeon absorbs the discovery, mapping, and validation work that traditional engagements bill analyst hours against roughly 60–70% of the hours an equivalent-scope consulting proposal staffs for. Forward-deployed engineers embed with the customer and own the cutover. Your job is the connective tissue: wave schedules that hold, risks surfaced with lead time, decisions documented, and a customer who never has to ask "is this on track?" We commit to dates in the contract. You're the person who makes those dates boring.
