As Marketing Manager for the Japan market, you will contribute to local growth across both B2C and B2B. Reporting to the APAC Marketing Lead based in Tokyo, you will work closely with the APAC team and global specialist teams to plan, execute, and continuously improve marketing initiatives tailored to the local market. This is a highly autonomous role in which you will identify opportunities, build processes from the ground up, and turn them into scalable, repeatable operations with speed and ownership. Your core mission is to drive brand awareness, user acquisition, engagement, and partner acquisition, activation, and retention in Japan. In particular, you will be expected to deliver a consistent brand experience through high-quality content creation and localization for customers and partners in the Japanese market. Success in this role will be measured through growth in MAU, MARU, and Requests; stronger customer loyalty and LTV in B2C; and improved partner activation and pipeline generation in B2B.

Key responsibilities for the Japan market

B2C (Demand Generation)

• Create and manage content for platform and CRM communications while ensuring consistently high localization quality
• Execute local campaigns in collaboration with media, community channels, and other relevant partners as needed
• Drive business growth by improving MAU, MARU, and retention
• Plan and execute event initiatives

B2B (Partner Growth)

• Plan, create, and edit partner-facing content, ensure high localization quality, and execute initiatives across the full partner lifecycle from acquisition and activation to ongoing engagement and retention
• Maintain the quality of partner enablement and education materials, including presentations and case studies, and create new assets where needed
• Plan and execute events and trade marketing initiatives
• Create content and ensure high localization quality for recurring partner communications, including newsletters and feature release announcements

Cross-functional responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Account Management, Product, Data, and Legal teams
• Manage local vendors, including agencies, production partners, and media outlets
• Provide weekly reporting to the APAC Marketing Lead

What Sets You Apart

• Native-level Japanese and business-level English
• 5+ years of hands-on localization experience, including planning, creating, and editing Japanese-language content, with a strong commitment to producing natural, clear, and highly readable Japanese copy
• Strong understanding of the Japanese market
• Experience in lifecycle marketing and CRM operations, including hands-on experience with marketing tools
• A data-driven mindset
• Strong communication skills
• 5+ years of marketing experience, including B2C marketing, campaign execution, and agency management; experience in B2B growth and enablement is a plus

Nice to have

• Experience in the luxury, watch, or marketplace industry
• Familiarity with tools such as GA4, Looker, Qlik, Asana, Jira, and Canva
• Vendor management experience, from vendor selection through SLA management
• Experience in event planning and on-site execution
