Role Summary and Impact

This role is within WPP Media Solutions, where you will be instrumental in defining how outcome-based media programs are measured, optimized, and scaled. As the Director of Measurement Science, you'll lead campaign measurement planning, incrementality and A/B testing, test-and-learn programs, measurement partner evaluation, and strategic recommendations across WPP Media Solutions. You'll work closely with trading and planning teams to connect programmatic execution, DSP-level data, and measurement outcomes. Reporting to the Group Director, you'll manage a team of three to four Associate Directors and Analysts while advising senior stakeholders on measurement strategy.

This is an opportunity to shape measurement for a commercial model built around business outcomes rather than media delivery. Your work will help WPP Media prove incremental impact, personalize performance insights, predict future results, and determine when the organization can stand behind an outcome-based commitment. You'll combine current programmatic fluency with strategic measurement leadership, forward-looking thinking, and a passion for developing people in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead measurement strategy for outcome-based media programs, connecting campaign execution to business outcomes and commercial decisions.

• Design campaign measurement plans, incrementality studies, A/B tests, and test-and-learn programs that establish the true impact of media.

• Analyze data and logs from demand-side platforms, including The Trade Desk and Display & Video 360, to diagnose performance drivers and measurement implications.

• Translate programmatic execution, bidding approaches, ad operations, audience decisions, and pacing into clear measurement insights and optimization recommendations.

• Partner with trading, planning, investment, and strategy teams to guide optimization, pricing, forecasting, and campaign decisions.

• Evaluate measurement partners, methodologies, and platforms for analytical rigor, scalability, business value, and operational fit.

• Oversee the development of measurement frameworks that support incrementality, personalization, forecasting, and outcome-based decision-making.

• Lead and develop a team of three to four Associate Directors and Analysts through coaching, feedback, training, and clear delivery standards.

• Build the team's programmatic measurement capability by educating junior colleagues, sharing practical knowledge, and answering stakeholder questions with clarity.

• Establish a forward-looking point of view on the evolution of measurement, including artificial intelligence, clean-room-based data collaboration, and scalable cross-platform approaches.

Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of experience in marketing, media, programmatic, or client analytics, with substantial and current programmatic media exposure.

• Direct experience analyzing demand-side platform data and logs, particularly from The Trade Desk and Display & Video 360.

• Hands-on experience designing and applying incrementality testing, A/B testing, campaign measurement, and test-and-learn methodologies.

• Ability to explain how programmatic campaign setup and execution affect measurement results, performance drivers, and business outcomes.

• Experience evaluating measurement partners and translating methodological strengths, limitations, and findings into practical recommendations.

• Strong understanding of marketing measurement approaches, including marketing mix modeling, multi-touch attribution, forecasting, and causal measurement.

• People management experience with the ability to coach and develop Associate Directors, Analysts, and other junior team members.

• Strong SQL skills for querying, filtering, joining, and validating analytics data, without requiring a data engineering focus.

• Experience using Tableau or Power BI to create executive-facing visualizations, reporting, and presentations.

• Familiarity with Python, ad-tech platforms, campaign management systems, clean-room-based data collaboration, or measurement environments such as Amazon Marketing Cloud, Ads Data Hub, or InfoSum is preferred.

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. $100,000—$230,000 USD
