About the Role:

As Assort’s first Brand Designer, you'll help define how one of healthcare's fastest-growing AI companies shows up in the world. You'll shape the visual identity of a company that's redefining patient access, bringing our brand to life across every touchpoint: from campaigns, the website, and the product interface to social, print, executive communications, sales materials, events, and beyond. You'll evolve our brand system and translate the technical depth of what we build to create work that is thoughtful, memorable, and unmistakably Assort.

You'll join at a pivotal moment as we reshape our brand identity. You'll help define and maintain the visual foundation of the Assort brand, including our color palette, typography, design system, scalable creative assets, templates, and brand guidelines, and ensure they're expressed consistently across every customer and employee touchpoint.

You'll work across mediums with a high degree of creative ownership, taking ideas from concept through execution. You'll partner closely with Brand & Communications, Product Marketing, Revenue Marketing, Product Design, and company leadership to define how Assort shows up, and you'll set the bar for craft across the team.

This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role on a small, ambitious team with enormous creative impact. You'll help establish the systems, standards, and visual language that define our brand as we build one of the most recognized companies in healthcare AI. You'll have significant ownership, a high degree of autonomy, and the opportunity to shape how Assort shows up at every customer touchpoint. This role reports to the VP of Marketing and will play a foundational role in building Assort's Brand & Communications function.

What you’ll do:

• Help shape Assort's evolving brand identity, defining and maintaining our core visual language, including typography, color palette, design system, scalable creative assets, templates, and brand standards, that serve as the foundation for everything we create.

• Bring the brand to life across every customer touchpoint, ensuring campaigns, the website, product experiences, sales collateral, executive communications, events, and other creative work feel cohesive, premium, and unmistakably Assort.

• Concept and execute creative work end-to-end across digital, web, social, print, events, customer marketing, sales enablement, and executive communications.

• Partner closely with Product Marketing, Product Design, Engineering, Revenue Marketing, and company leadership to translate complex healthcare AI concepts, product experiences, and user workflows into clear, compelling visual stories, transforming product UI and interactions into launch assets, sales collateral, illustrations, diagrams, motion, and other customer-facing experiences.

• Collaborate with Product Design to bring the Assort brand into the product experience, ensuring our visual identity is expressed consistently across marketing, the website, and the product itself.

• Create scalable, AI-enabled creative systems, including templates, components, presentation frameworks, design guidelines, and AI-assisted workflows, that empower teams across the company to produce exceptional work quickly and consistently.

• Art direct photography, illustration, motion, and other creative work, collaborating with external agencies and specialized creative partners when needed to deliver exceptional results.

• Raise the quality of design across the organization through thoughtful critique, strong creative judgment, and by establishing a high bar for craft.

• Experiment with AI-powered creative tools and workflows to accelerate ideation, production, and creative quality while helping define how a modern design team operates.

What we’re looking for:

• 6+ years of experience in visual, graphic, or brand design, with a portfolio that demonstrates exceptional craft, strong conceptual thinking, and the ability to tell compelling stories across digital, print, web, and physical experiences, including work that thoughtfully connects brand and product, showing how product UI and visual identity reinforce one another.

• A track record of building brands, not just assets. You've owned campaigns, visual identities, or design systems from concept through execution, creating cohesive work across digital, social, events, presentations, and beyond.

• Expert proficiency in Figma, Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite, with the ability to move fluidly across web, print, presentation, and marketing design.

• Exceptional visual judgment, with a strong eye for typography, composition, hierarchy, color, and systems thinking, and the confidence to know when to push creative boundaries and when simplicity creates the strongest outcome.

• Experience partnering closely with Product Marketing, Product Design, or Product teams to translate complex products into compelling visual storytelling, including product illustrations, diagrams, and launch assets.

• A builder's mentality. You're comfortable operating with ambiguity, driving projects end-to-end, giving and receiving direct feedback, and delivering exceptional work in a fast-moving environment.

• An AI-native approach to design. You actively experiment with AI-powered creative tools and workflows, thoughtfully incorporating them to accelerate ideation, production, and creative quality without compromising craft.

Nice to have:

• Experience building or evolving a brand system at an early-stage company, or leading a rebrand at a more established one.

• Experience art directing video, photography, motion, or live event creative.

• Experience mentoring designers or guiding external creative partners.
