We are seeking an exceptional Electronics Repair Technician to join the team at IPM, an Accredited Labs company. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing and highly specialized calibration and repair organization that supports industries requiring precision measurement and testing equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electronics, experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic instrumentation, and a passion for solving technical challenges. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on diagnostics, component-level repair, and working with sophisticated test and measurement equipment.

As our Electronics Repair Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, calibrating, and supporting a wide range of electronic test and measurement equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our customers receive accurate, reliable, and fully functional instruments that meet industry and accreditation standards.

Day to Day Reasonability:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic test and measurement equipment to the component level.

• Disassemble, inspect, test, and repair electronic instruments using specialized diagnostic equipment and test systems.

• Perform recalibration on repaired instruments to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.

• Read and interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and manufacturer documentation.

• Utilize oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, Huntron Trackers, and other diagnostic equipment to isolate and resolve equipment failures.

• Communicate with customers, manufacturers, vendors, and internal team members regarding repair status, technical findings, and repair recommendations.

• Prepare detailed repair estimates and service documentation for customer review.

• Source replacement components and coordinate procurement of repair parts when necessary.

• Maintain and organize parts inventory to ensure efficient repair operations.

• Manage and maintain technical manuals, calibration procedures, and service documentation library.

• Document repair activities accurately in company systems and maintain complete service records.

• Follow company quality procedures and manufacturer guidelines while maintaining compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.

• Maintain strict confidentiality of customer information, technical data, and proprietary company information.

• Perform all duties with professionalism, impartiality, integrity, and adherence to quality standards.

• Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Basic Qualifications:

• Successful completion of a basic electronics competency assessment during the interview process.

• Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field, or a minimum of two years of hands-on electronics repair experience.

• Technical background related to electronics, instrumentation, calibration, or measurement systems.

• Working knowledge of electronic theory, circuit design, and electronic components.

• Ability to troubleshoot electronic systems and printed circuit boards at the component level.

• Experience using electronic test equipment to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, block diagrams, and technical documentation.

• Experience performing electronic repairs, adjustments, and modifications to instrumentation.

• Proficiency using Windows-based computer systems and software applications.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to read, understand, and follow company procedures and manufacturer service documentation.

• Experience utilizing advanced soldering and de-soldering equipment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across departments.

• Ability to lift laboratory equipment and work in a hands-on technical environment.

Nice to Have:

• Experience repairing calibration, metrology, test, or measurement equipment.

• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory environments.

• Experience using diagnostic tools such as Huntron Trackers and advanced circuit analysis equipment.

• Previous calibration experience involving electronic instrumentation.

• Knowledge of RF, electrical, temperature, pressure, dimensional, or other calibration disciplines.

• Experience with inventory management or parts sourcing.

• Military electronics, avionics, PMEL, TMDE, or related technical training.

• Current enrollment in an Electronics Technology program while seeking practical industry experience.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday

• Daily business hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST

• Minimum of 40 hours per week

• Flexible scheduling may be available for highly qualified candidates currently completing technical coursework or degree programs

• Occasional overtime may be required based on workload and customer demand
