Proudly founded in Melbourne, we have a team of over 2,300 of the brightest and most innovative people in tech across 27 offices around the globe. Valued at US$11 billion and backed by world-leading investors including T. Rowe Price, Visa, Mastercard, Robinhood Ventures, Sequoia, Salesforce Ventures, DST Global, and Lone Pine Capital, Airwallex is leading the charge in building the global payments and financial platform of the future. Attributes We Value

We hire successful builders with founder-like energy who want real impact, accelerated learning, and true ownership. You bring strong role-related expertise and sharp thinking, and you’re motivated by our mission and operating principles. You move fast with good judgment, dig deep with curiosity, and make decisions from first principles, balancing speed and rigor.

You're humble and collaborative; turn zero‑to‑one ideas into real products, and you “get stuff done” end-to-end. You use AI to work smarter and solve problems faster. Here, you’ll tackle complex, high‑visibility problems with exceptional teammates and grow your career as we build the future of global banking. If that sounds like you, let’s build what’s next.

About the team The Legal, Risk & Compliance (LRC) team at Airwallex is a collaborative group of legal minds and risk management experts. We're passionate about safeguarding Airwallex's operations, fostering a culture of compliance and ethical conduct, and ensuring we navigate the global financial landscape with integrity. We provide expert guidance and support to all areas of the business, proactively identifying, mitigating, and managing legal and financial risks.

What you'll do As Corporate Secretary, you will play a pivotal role in Airwallex’s governance structure, supporting our board and senior management, and ensuring robust compliance and best-in-class corporate governance across our global group. You will lead the full spectrum of company secretarial matters for licensed entities within the designated region. This role can be based in Australia or Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle the full spectrum of company secretarial matters for licensed entities across APAC

  • Organizing and facilitating board, committee and general meetings, including preparing agenda, resolutions, minutes and presentation materials

  • Maintaining and handling statutory filings and statutory registers

  • Handling group entities’ corporate matters, including incorporation, restructuring, capital injection, winding down and audit support

  • Ensuring timely and accurate regulatory filings

  • Lead the company secretarial function across jurisdictions and coordinate and manage external service providers

  • Support entity-level audits and due diligence processes for financing, M&A, and regulatory reviews

  • Act as a key liaison with directors, investors, regulators and cross-functional teams

  • Support the implementation of best practices in data protection, cybersecurity, and technology risk management

Minimum qualifications:

  • At least 5-10 years of relevant experience

  • Proven track record in supporting boards and senior management in a global or regional corporate structure

  • Prior experience managing multi-jurisdictional entities and complex group structures

  • Experience establishing and maintaining board and committee processes, corporate records and entity management systems

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact effectively with Board members, investors, regulators and cross-functional teams

  • Strong attention to detail, especially for board papers, resolutions and disclosures

  • High integrity, discretion and sound judgment

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth global environment

  • Proactive, hands-on and solutions-oriented

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a regulated financial services or fintech environment

  • Chartered Secretary
