As a Warranty Specialist at ALTEN Mexico, you will play a key role within the Aftersales Premium Car department. You will be responsible for the technical and analytical evaluation of automotive warranty cases, acting as a subject‑matter expert across aftersales, engineering, quality, and service operations.

This is a senior-level position that requires strong technical credibility, sound judgment, and excellent communication skills. The Warranty Specialist serves as both a technical authority and a trusted decision‑maker, ensuring consistent, fair, and well-documented warranty decisions that protect the company’s financial interests and brand reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate automotive warranty claims by analyzing technical reports, failure analyses, and field data.
  • Determine warranty applicability in accordance with company policies, contractual terms, and legal or regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze detailed technical documentation related to vehicle or component failures.
  • Assess root cause analyses, test results, and usage conditions to determine warranty coverage.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and quality teams to understand failure mechanisms and design intent.
  • Interpret warranty terms, exclusions, and limitations accurately and consistently.
  • Monitor warranty trends, claim rates, and cost drivers.
  • Identify abnormal patterns, emerging quality risks, or supplier-related issues.
  • Maintain and update warranty procedures, guidelines, and decision frameworks.
  • Communicate complex technical or legal topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related).
  • 4+ years of experience in automotive warranty, aftersales, quality, or technical analysis roles.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, components, and failure modes.
  • Proven experience evaluating complex warranty claims and technical failures.
  • Ability to analyze technical reports, failure analyses, test results, and field data.
  • Solid understanding of warranty policies, coverage criteria, and contractual terms.
  • Strong analytical judgment and independent decision‑making skills.
  • Advanced English and excellent communication skills for technical and non‑technical stakeholders
