2026 Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineer Intern

WHAT YOU’LL DO       Use principles of control theory, applied physics, and applied mathematics to design GNC solutions for Anduril’s autonomous systems   Design, build, and test GNC control laws in VMS (vehicle management system) software   Build vehicle simulation models to inform design trades, assess system capabilities, and establish system margins   Contribute to the development of new capabilities to enhance existing products or bring capabilities and technologies to market   Collaborate across multiple teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality   Work on real, meaningful projects and learn from experienced professionals along the way   REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS       Must be pursuing tertiary education in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.    Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one term.   Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.   Ability to complete an in-person 12-week internship in summer 2026.    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS       Experience in digital control systems, linear and nonlinear dynamics systems   Experience in state estimation, e.g. Kalman filter, extended Kalman filter   Proficiency in Matlab and Simulink   A desire to work on GNC solutions that have real-world impact   Experience in digital control systems, linear and nonlinear dynamics systems   Experience in state estimation, e.g. Kalman filter, extended Kalman filter   Proficiency in Matlab and Simulink   A desire to work on GNC solutions that have real-world impact     The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
