The National Institute on Aging is offering up to six $100,000 institutional prizes, for a total pool of up to $600,000, to recognize outstanding mentors in aging research.

Phase 1 consists of mentee-submitted nominations. Eligible mentors receiving at least two nominations may be invited to Phase 2. The Phase 1 nomination deadline is 15 October 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time; invited mentor submissions are due later in November.
Eligibility requirements
The prize recognizes eligible early-career and midcareer or established faculty mentors in aging research. Detailed mentor, NIA-award, institutional and federal participation criteria apply, including requirements on active NIA support and the prize-receiving institution.
