The project combines advanced microscopy, surface characterization, nanofabrication, experiments, theory and molecular simulations with the Finnish Meteorological Institute. The appointment is initially two years and can continue for another two years after a successful midterm review. Starting salary is approximately EUR 3,142 gross per month and increases with doctoral progress; occupational healthcare and research travel are included.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants need a suitable master's degree in physics, physical chemistry, materials science, fluid mechanics, nanoscience or a related field, strong interest in experimental interfacial science and phase change, good data-analysis/programming skills and proficiency in English. Experience with microscopy, surface characterization, nanofabrication or experimental instrument development is an advantage.
