The postdoc will address research questions at the interface of data science, biology and agroecology by integrating field, sensor, soil, acoustic, image and species data with historical maps, satellite and drone data. Work includes improving data flows, building knowledge graphs, applying AI and machine-learning methods, and developing landscape-oriented visualisation and digital-twin approaches. The appointment runs from 1 November 2026 to 31 October 2029.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants should have a PhD or comparable research background in data science or a closely related field and strong experience with geospatial or temporal analysis, large spatial datasets, computational workflows, AI/machine learning and scientific publication. Familiarity with biology, geography, agrobiology or geology and strong English are relevant.
