Role Purpose

The Dean of the School of Psychology & Social Science provides strategic and academic leadership to advance the School’s growth, academic excellence, research impact, student experience, and financial sustainability. The role is responsible for strengthening the School’s academic portfolio, faculty capabilities, industry and external partnerships, student enrolment, and overall institutional standing, while ensuring alignment with the University’s strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership in shaping and executing the School’s strategic direction, academic priorities, and growth objectives in alignment with the University’s overall strategy.

  • Academic Excellence: Lead the development and delivery of high-quality academic programmes, ensuring alignment with industry needs, emerging trends, and academic standards.

  • Faculty Leadership: Lead the recruitment, development, performance, retention, and engagement of academic staff, while fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, research, and innovation.
