Full Job Description

About the Role

This is a founding Account Executive position at a seed-stage AI communications startup, leading the US go-to-market effort from the ground up. You will be the first commercial hire in the US market, working directly alongside the founding team to win early customers, build a repeatable sales motion, and establish the company's presence in North America. This role is central to proving product-market fit in the US and shaping how the business scales internationally.

What You'll Do

  • Launch US demand generation by building localized landing pages, messaging, and basic tracking with support from the marketing team.

  • Run discovery calls, demos, and close early deals to win the company's first US customers.

  • Convert early learnings into a documented, repeatable sales playbook for the US market.

  • Identify, pitch, and enable local partner channels to support co-selling programs.

  • Own onboarding and customer success for initial accounts, capturing product and positioning feedback to share with the core team.

  • Collaborate closely with marketing and engineering in Vienna to iterate and execute quickly.

  • Grow the role over 6 to 12 months into the primary US owner, with the potential to hire and lead a local team.

What We're Looking For

  • Native English speaker with demonstrated commercial experience in the US market.

  • Background as a founder, operator, or strong performer in sales, business development, partnerships, or growth at a high-growth SaaS startup.

  • Hands-on experience building and running early-stage GTM for a SaaS product, including discovery, demos, and closing deals.

  • Experience building and activating partner channels and co-selling programs.

  • Comfortable creating localized demand generation assets and using basic analytics to track funnel performance.

  • Experience onboarding and supporting customers and translating feedback into product and positioning improvements.

  • Startup mindset: self-starter, ownership mentality, and able to work cross-functionally with marketing and engineering.

  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot is a plus.

  • Domain knowledge in AI-powered communications or experience selling to US SMBs is a plus.

  • Willingness to be based in Vienna, Austria for the first 3 to 6 months for onboarding, with a remote or relocated setup available afterward.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary between $100,000 and $150,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Location

Primary location is the United States. The role requires on-site presence in Vienna, Austria for the first 3 to 6 months; a remote or relocated arrangement is available after the onboarding period.
