Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Account Executive, New District Partnerships based in United States. This role offers the opportunity to drive growth across the K–12 education market through strategic district partnerships. You will own territory development and the full sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through negotiation and contract close. Your focus will be on building trusted relationships with school district administrators, special education leaders, and key decision-makers. You will use a consultative approach to understand district needs and connect them with solutions that support student success. The position combines independent territory ownership with close collaboration across marketing, partnerships, operations, and customer success. You will join a fast-paced, mission-driven environment where innovation and continuous learning are central to the way teams work. Approximately 30% travel is expected for conferences, in-person district meetings, and occasional team gatherings.
Develop and execute a strategic territory growth plan across assigned U.S. markets, identifying opportunities to expand district partnerships. Generate, identify, qualify, and manage prospective clients throughout the complete sales funnel using Salesforce, Salesloft, or similar tools. Lead consultative sales conversations by understanding district challenges, priorities, and goals and tailoring solutions to their specific needs. Build and maintain long-term relationships with district administrators, special education leaders, and other key education decision-makers. Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, solution presentation, negotiation, and contract close. Collaborate with marketing, partnerships, operations, and customer success teams to support effective transitions from sales through onboarding and ongoing client success. Monitor education trends, funding models, and state-specific regulations that influence special education services and district purchasing decisions. Maintain strong pipeline discipline and consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue and pipeline targets. Represent the organization at relevant conferences, lead in-person site meetings, and participate in occasional company meetings, with approximately 30% travel expected. Requirements: 3–5+ years of experience in EdTech sales, K–12 sales, or a senior K–12 special education leadership position such as Director of Special Education. Candidates without direct sales experience may be considered if they bring a strong professional network, demonstrated drive, a clear go-to-market strategy for their territory, and genuine enthusiasm for innovation in education. Proven ability to manage complex processes with strong follow-through, a consultative approach, and relationship-building skills. Strong understanding of the K–12 education ecosystem, particularly special education and student services. Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-paced environment. Proficiency with CRM and sales tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Salesloft, along with virtual presentation platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet. An early-adopter mindset and enthusiasm for using technology and emerging tools to improve sales effectiveness. Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree or background in K–12 education is a plus. Benefits: Remote, U.S.-based position. Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission and strong earning potential. Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits. 401(k) retirement plan. Equity opportunities. Supportive, collaborative, and innovative remote work culture. Opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization focused on improving support and outcomes for K–12 students. Investment in tools, marketing, and sales support to help teams build and grow their territories. Approximately 30% travel for conferences, district meetings, and occasional company gatherings.
