The Sr Internal Wholesaler works within the sales organization, partnering with External Wholesaler(s) in geographical sales territories. This individual is responsible for partnering with an External Wholesaler, creating new and managing existing relationships with representatives to increase revenue of Protective products and achieve territory sales goals. This role is primarily focused on servicing representatives through phone and email communication. This position requires an individual that has a strong sales-focused approach with professional communication skills, hard work ethic, and a competitive drive to succeed.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• To be a product knowledge and technology expert in ALL environments • Work with management and Client Relations teams to continue to develop processes that will ensure current accounts’ growth and success with Portfolio. • Take immediate action to meet the needs of clients • Responsible to work with others to work through/resolve issues with current clients • General Management of current assigned agencies • Proper delegation of work through the Business Development and Client Relations teams • Accountable for meeting annual production forecast expectations • Conduct Retro/Reinsurance and custom dealer presentations • Complete Retro/Reinsurance reviews for ALL assigned agency business • Manage assigned agencies Dealer’s remittance trends • Manage assigned agencies attrition for current dealers • Accountable for keeping expenses within the established guidelines • Responsible for working with the accounting department on all accounting issues related to assigned agencies • Responsible for working with the Claims department on claim issues related to assigned agencies • Take ownership of changes and is personally responsible for managing change in an upbeat positive manner • Travel 70-80% of the time (air, road, etc.) • Other Job Duties as assigned
Education & Experience Required:
• Attention to detail and quality of service clients. • Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple issues and demands • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Excellent in building relationships and partnerships • A strong sense of urgency and a desire to succeed • Driven by Integrity Education and Qualification Requirements: • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM Software, and internal software systems • High School diploma or equivalent • Problem resolution experience • Strong sales aptitude • 5+ or more years’ experience in an automotive sales related environment
