Coins is the most established crypto brand in The Philippines and has gained the trust of more than 18 million users. Through the easy-to-use mobile app, users can buy and sell a variety of different cryptocurrencies and access a wide range of financial services.
Coins is fully regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and is the first ever crypto-based company in Asia to hold both Virtual Currency and Electronic Money Issuer licenses from a central bank.
Identify, approach, and onboard new merchants across various industries onto our payment services (POS terminals, QR payments, e-wallets). Build and maintain strong relationships with existing merchants in Cebu and the surrounding area to drive usage, retention, and satisfaction. Negotiate merchant discount rates (MDRs), commercial terms, and service agreements. Collaborate with internal teams (product, tech, operations) to support smooth onboarding and integration. Serve as the main point of contact for merchant queries, support, and escalations. Monitor account and portfolio performance, track transaction volumes, and identify growth opportunities within your territory. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs in the payments and fintech space. Represent the company at local merchant and industry events across Cebu and the Visayas as needed
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field. 2–4 years of experience in merchant acquisition, business development, or account management, preferably in fintech, banking, payments, or e-commerce. Proven experience closing deals and managing a high-volume portfolio. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Customer-focused mindset with a strong drive to exceed targets and KPIs. Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, comfortable working with some autonomy in a regional territory. Ability to coordinate with international partners and stakeholders. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and receiving positive customer feedback. Based in Cebu or willing to relocate; familiarity with the local merchant landscape is a plus. Willingness to travel within Cebu and the Visayas for merchant visits.
