Your Tasks

The Accountant – Financial Reporting will be responsible for managing financial reporting, tax compliance, and ensuring the accuracy of financial accounts in alignment with local GAAP standards. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage operational matters, risk controls, and provide financial oversight for the entities in Thailand.

  • Reporting/Controlling/Tax:

  • Update financial records in systems like QuickBooks and Excel.

  • Prepare monthly reports for submission to Tagetik by business unit, including variance analysis and trend analysis. Ensure records in financial system (ie QuickBooks) reconcile with that in Tagetik. This role includes the comprehensive responsibility for all data entries into the Tagetik system.

  • Oversee all financial accounts, ensuring compliance with local accounting principles (GAAP).

  • Handle tax compliance for the entities in Thailand, including annual tax filing, transfer pricing, and withholding tax filing.

  • Manage the annual audit process, liaising with auditors to complete the audit package for Germany.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all accounting, tax, and risk matters with the Regional HQ and Germany HQ.

  • Receivables Management:

  • Assign messengers to collect cheques from customers and submit billing documents for new invoices.

  • Follow up with customers and sales for credit management processing.

  • Credit insurance

  • Submit documents to external accounting firm Roedl for payment recording and collection of other expenses from suppliers and forwarders.

  • Follow-up and Receivables:

  • Follow up on payments from due customers, coordinating cheque collection schedules.

  • Update received payments in the system using QuickBooks, BBL, and HSBC statements.

  • Risk Controlling:

  • Provide guidance on internal controls to enhance governance.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate and regional policies and procedures.

  • Maintain all necessary insurance policies for the entities.

  • Operational Matters & Budget:

  • Liaise with banks or Corporate Treasury for establishment of credit facilities

  • Compile and submit sales and working capital reports for submission to Germany and upload into Qilkview.

  • Collaborate with the commercial department to prepare the annual budget and forecast.

  • Work with commercial departments on various projects, such as commercial investment feasibility and ERP implementation.

  • Maintenance of Master Data

  • Corporate/Legal Secretary Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Governance: Assist in maintaining corporate records, preparing board meeting minutes, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Legal Documentation: Manage the filing and documentation of corporate legal documents, including licenses, permits, and regulatory filings.

  • Liaison: Serve as the point of contact for legal matters, coordinating with external legal counsel and regulatory authorities as needed.

  • Additional Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and tax agents

Qualifications And Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in financial statement preparation and closing.
  • Strong knowledge of Thai Financial Reporting Standards (TFRS).
  • Experience with multinational companies is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Certified Accountant preferred.
