This is exactly where you come in: As a Financial Accountant (m/f/d), you’ll ensure that our numbers are always accurate, reliable, and relevant for decision-making. You’ll combine operational excellence with a commitment to continuously improving processes and systems.

Your Mission

  • You are responsible for preparatory financial accounting and ensure that all documents and business transactions are organized, reviewed, and properly processed
  • You monitor incoming and outgoing invoices, maintain lists of open items, and perform regular account reconciliations
  • You will actively participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and, in collaboration with the tax advisory team, ensure that they are completed accurately and on time
  • You will prepare reports, budget-to-actual comparisons, and analyses for the Head of Finance
  • You will optimize our systems and interfaces (e.g., between the online store, payment systems, ERP, and accounting) to maximize efficiency and data quality
  • You will work closely with Controlling, Data, and external partners such as tax advisors, auditors, and banks
  • You will identify inefficiencies and actively drive the automation and further development of our finance processes
  • You will ensure compliance with all relevant legal requirements and accounting standards

Qualifications And Requirements

  • You have a degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a comparable qualification, or a commercial apprenticeship with additional training as a certified accountant (IHK)
  • You have 3–5 years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in a fast-growing or dynamic environment
  • You have a very good understanding of the German Commercial Code (HGB) and solid experience in financial accounting, auditing, account reconciliation, and preparing financial statements.
  • You have experience collaborating with tax advisors, banks, and other external partners.
  • You understand financial reporting, business analytics, and target-actual comparisons, and can derive clear insights from them.
  • You are proficient in using ERP and accounting systems as well as MS Excel
  • You work in a structured, independent, and detail-oriented manner, while never losing sight of the big picture
  • You are a strong communicator, a team player, and confident in interacting with various stakeholders
  • You have excellent German language skills and excellent English language skills (required)
