RES is looking for a part-time Accounting Clerk to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA, working between 20 and 30 hours per week at our office. As an Accounting Clerk, you will support the Accounts Payable function by helping enter and process invoices, manage vendor information, and assist with reconciliations and audits. This role is ideal for a student pursuing a degree in accounting or a related business field who wants to gain hands-on experience in a professional finance environment. What your day-to-day might look like: Entering payables and assisting with data entry of invoices and journal entries Organizing and coding A/P invoices for processing Setting up new vendors and maintaining vendor records Responding to vendor emails and phone inquiries Routing invoices for approval and processing payments Performing reconciliations and helping resolve invoice discrepancies Assisting with audit support and special projects as needed We would love to talk to you if you have many of the following: Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a business-related major Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, and Word Effective written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Virginia Pay Range (Hourly) $18 — $20 USD Please note that the “Day in the Life” section is not intended to be an exhaustive list of job duties, but rather a representative snapshot of typical responsibilities and work experiences at RES.
