ROLE OVERVIEW We're looking for someone to own the accounting function for multiple portfolio companies as a hands-on individual contributor, with a focus on audit and acquisition readiness. We’re looking for someone to join our team in Charlotte, working directly with business leadership while remaining hands-on in day-to-day execution. WHAT YOU'LL DO Own the monthly close and day-to-day accounting from start to finish Prepare accurate financial statements, reconciliations, and management reports Get the company ready for a potential acquisition by cleaning up the books and organizing due-diligence support Lead the external audit and keep requests, documentation, and deadlines on track Strengthen accounting processes and partner with leadership and teams across the business Work out of our Charlotte office five days a week, alongside the executive team WHAT YOU'LL BRING 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally with a company that was successfully acquired MS in Accounting, MBA, and/or CPA preferred  Experience working through an external audit from the company side Comfort working in a modern ERP or accounting system (we use NetSuite) Solid US GAAP knowledge and books that would hold up to an audit The ability to take things and run with them, without needing a lot of hand holding COMPENSATION $110,000 - 130,000 USD, competitive and appropriate to experience level In addition to cash compensation, a meaningful equity stake is a significant part of the overall package.
