ABOUT THE ROLE Join the Finance team as an Accounting Manager and help ensure accurate, scalable financial operations for a growing healthcare and direct-to-consumer business. You will lead core accounting activities and strengthen controls across eCommerce, inventory, and healthcare-related operations. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead the month-end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
- Oversee revenue recognition, inventory, intercompany activity, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and fixed assets.
- Review financial statements and internal reporting packages, and analyze balance sheet and P&L fluctuations to share useful business insights.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity planning.
- Partner with Supply Chain to improve inventory controls, reporting, forecasting, cycle counts, and inventory turns.
- Develop accounting policies and documentation, and improve processes through automation.
- Manage and develop staff accountants, support external audits, and collaborate across teams to improve accountability and efficiency. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with strong U.S. GAAP and technical accounting knowledge.
- At least 5 years of accounting experience, including public accounting, and 2 to 3 years in an accounting manager role.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems for financial analysis and reporting.
- Experience managing complex accounting operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and translating financial data into business insights.
- Experience in eCommerce, healthcare, telemedicine, or inventory-based businesses is preferred; CPA certification is also preferred.
- Clear communication, cross-functional collaboration, and people management skills. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Annual salary range: $90,000 to $110,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is not available. LOCATION Hybrid role based in San Leandro, California, United States.
