Accounting Specialist

  About the Company AJ Boggs and Company is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Specialist to join our growing ProPower - India finance team. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues, generating monthly reports, invoicing, account reconciliation, and communicating with customers. We’re searching for a skilled, detail oriented financial specialist with excellent communication and record keeping skills. The Accounting Specialist will help keep us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners. About the Role This description provides a current, comprehensive overview of the role, though its responsibilities will evolve as our company grows. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain detailed accounting records, including AR, AP, and Payroll Review contracts and work with project managers to ensure all billable items are included in invoices Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distributing cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to the AR sub-ledger Maintain and update accounting files, including customer and banking paperwork Research and resolve account discrepancies Respond to client inquiries regarding billing and payment issues Assist in the month-end and year-end closing process and prepare related financial reports, including budget to actual comparisons, AR aging, cash receipts, & credit analysis Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Prepare financial analyses Assist in developing and implementing improvements to financial processes Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting Develop predictive financial models to support organizational decision making Assist in streamlining the accounting processes by identifying areas for performance improvement, automation and integration between systems Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting, and comply with regulations Assist in developing pricing models and creating innovative strategies for cost reduction Analyze and establish policies and procedures to improve our cost structure and budgets Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
