Overview
The ACI Foundation is accepting applications for 50 fellowships and scholarships for the 2027–2028 academic year in concrete-related undergraduate and graduate programs, with scholarships open to international students when the named award is not region-restricted.
Complete scholarship details
The 2027–2028 cycle opened on 1 July 2026. ACI Foundation fellowships provide a US$10,000 educational stipend for tuition, residence, books and materials plus paid travel to two ACI Concrete Conventions under programme travel rules. ACI Foundation scholarships provide a US$5,000 educational stipend; two scholarships are paid in Canadian dollars. The Foundation also runs separate MENA and Saudi Arabia Student Excellence Awards through a different application route. This record covers the general Fellowships & Scholarships application rather than those region-specific excellence awards.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be full-time students enrolled in a concrete-related degree during the 2027–2028 award cycle and be proficient in English. Fellowship applicants must attend an accredited institution in the United States or Canada during the award cycle. International students may apply for scholarships that are not region-specific, subject to the individual award rules. Applicants must submit two endorsements, including one from an ACI member; endorsers cannot be students or family members. Fellowship finalists must attend the spring ACI Concrete Convention for an in-person interview.
Tips for this scholarship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Confirm the individual award's regional and academic eligibility before applying.
- Arrange two endorsements early; one must be from an ACI member.
- Have official English transcripts prepared according to ACI Foundation instructions before the deadline.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
