Job Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Adult Community Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join a dynamic community service in Enfield. This role involves delivering high-quality speech and language therapy to adults within a community setting, supporting patients and their families/carers across a diverse and multicultural population.

You will play a key role in providing specialist assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for adults with communication and swallowing difficulties. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to delivering holistic, patient-centred care and support rehabilitation within the community.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:• Provide a high standard of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for adults with speech, language, communication, and swallowing needs.• Deliver person-centred therapy to patients within community settings, involving families and carers in care plans.• Act as a source of specialist advice to the stroke community rehabilitation service (CSRT), adult SLT team, and wider community therapy services.• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and independence.• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, you must have:• A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).• HCPC registration and eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).• Experience working with adult patients, ideally within a community or rehabilitation setting.• Strong clinical skills in assessing and managing communication and swallowing disorders.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.• A valid UK driving licence or access to transport to travel across the borough.
