The purpose of this notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) is to encourage community-engaged research that broadens the conceptualization of qualities of the environment that can support language development in children and that focuses on the development of novel measures of childrens language development. The overall goal is to build the number of strengths-focused, culturally and linguistically responsive, and generalizable toolsto further our understanding of childrens language development and/or impairment, and predictors thereof.
Eligible applicants Special district governments; Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; Public and State controlled institutions of higher education; Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments); Independent school districts; Private institutions of higher education; Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized); Small businesses; Others (see text field entitled "Additional Information on Eligibility" for clarification); City or township governments; Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; State governments; County governments; Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities; For profit organizations other than small businesses
