About NORY: NORY is looking for passionate Afterschool Instructors to join the largest STEM enrichment program in NYC. Each year, we inspire over 4,000 children ages 3-12 across NYC and Boston to become risk-taking entrepreneurs, inquisitive problem solvers, and empathetic leaders. - Lead engaging NORY STEM classes for children ages 3-12, including hands-on building projects that spark curiosity and creativity.
- Foster a safe, fun, and inclusive learning environment grounded in NORY’s core values: resilience, inquisitiveness, and empathy.
- Use innovative and thoughtful teaching methods to make STEM learning exciting, purposeful, and effective. Qualifications / Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children ages 3-12.
- Genuine love for children, with an empathetic and caring approach.
- Skilled at storytelling, with strong classroom and behavioral management skills.
- Punctual, professional, and adaptable.
- No prior STEM background required. Thorough training will be provided. Coding or maker education experience is a plus. Details
- Hours: Typically 1-2.5 hours between 3-5PM (depends on school schedule).
- Days: Flexible: Monday-Friday (1-4 days per week)
- Compensation: $39-51.50/hour
