  • Additional Opportunities: Based on your performance and availability, you may have the chance to receive additional teaching opportunities during our Holiday camps and full-time seasonal Summer Camps. Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Experience (6 months+) engaging with children ages 3-12yo in an educational setting.
  • A passion for nurturing and guiding young minds.
  • Flair for turning everyday moments into teachable experiences.
  • Ability to narrate concepts with enthusiasm and creativity.
  • Proficiency in supporting classroom dynamics and managing behaviors.
  • Dedication to timeliness and a professional demeanor.
  • Eagerness to embrace our STEM training, regardless of prior background. Details:
  • Hours? The hours depend on what schools are offering and what is available. It may be 1 or 2 hours between 3-5PM.
  • Days? Flexible: Monday-Friday (1-4 days per week)
  • Compensation? $25/hour.
  • Preparation: Teachers should arrive a minimum of 15 minutes early for material setup.
  • Lesson plan review, occasional training, and post-class clean-up.
  • Eligible to receive a reliability bonus ($10) at the end of the term, contingent upon completion of attendance and punctuality requirements
  • Adjustments: Payments are prorated based on the class duration, e.g., a 45-minute class is adjusted accordingly.
  • Materials Handling: Unless specified differently, lead teachers are responsible for collecting and returning materials to NORY HQ in Midtown Manhattan.
