Full job description
This full-time one-year fixed-term appointment leads the definition and implementation of AI/ML initiatives, sets technical direction for data integration and automation, develops AI prototypes and scalable solutions, oversees AI project lifecycles from data acquisition through deployment and monitoring, guides modern application development, manages cloud AI workloads, mentors AI/software professionals and supports responsible use of AI including privacy, transparency and fairness. WHO lists a starting annual base salary of USD 86,027 plus a variable post adjustment currently stated as USD 3,369 per month for the duty station, along with other applicable staff benefits.
Requirements & qualifications
WHO requires an advanced university degree in software engineering, computer science or another relevant discipline and at least seven years of progressively responsible experience including cloud-native software architecture, deployment of AI models and generative-AI solutions in cloud environments, automated analytical pipelines, and complex application portfolios using modern front-end and database technologies. Expert English is required; intermediate French, Russian or German is desirable. Relevant DevOps, React, Python or similar certifications are desirable.
