We are a family owned company who has been in business since 1936 and continues to experience strong growth year after year. Abt Electronics specializes in electronics, appliance & furniture sales, delivery, installation and servicing all the products we sell. We are a perennial winner of the Chicago Tribune’s Top Workplace Award. We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible & friendly Alarm Technician to join our team. In addition, must be comfortable contributing/working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and fun work environment. Primary duties include:

Security alarm systems

Access controls

CCTV
-
Fire systems

Web based home security products

Troubleshooting error codes and false alarms

Integration of alarm & smart home technology
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years installation/programming experience
- Valid Illinois PERC card required
- Surveillance, access & fire alarm experience a plus
- Honeywell, Concord & DSC experience preferred
- Pass a DOT physical & drug test
- Clean background
- Valid Driver’s License
- Team oriented
- Able to participate daily in physical labor
- Need to be flexible with hours
- Be friendly & respectful towards customers and their property
