As part of Amer Sports, you’ll be joining a global network of iconic brands with strong growth ambitions.

Reporting to the Head of Winter Sports Equipment, this role owns the category end-to-end: product, merchandising, inventory strategy/demand planning through to sell-in, sell-through and on-snow activation. Acting as the category lead, the role ensures strong market execution, profitable growth, and long-term alpine relevance aligned with brand and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execution of our local strategies, including alignment of seasonal, annual and long-term commercial targets, strategies and plans across Alpine equipment

  • Identification of strategically aligned opportunities linked to skier, customer, resort and industry insights

  • Category ownership across Alpine skis, boots, bindings and poles for retail and rental

  • Localised merchandising and forecasting ranges linked to all channels, skier segments and alpine use cases

  • Execute to the defined GTM timelines and touchpoints including accurate and timely merchandising inputs

  • Range efficiency tracking and development across key alpine segments including piste, all-mountain, freeride and junior

  • Analyse sales performance and post-season results to improve customer assortment, technical fit and sell-through opportunity

  • Management of allocated alpine accounts nationally, including specialty retailers, resort partners and wholesale partners

About You

You are a commercially driven sales professional who is passionate and loves the category through their own day to day lifestyle. You have outstanding knowledge and understanding of the Alpine equipment market and the role that different brands, retailers and resort partners play across AUS/NZ and globally. You thrive in a fast-paced, field-based role, enjoy building relationships, and are confident influencing partners to drive performance. The background best suited for this role is;

  • Demonstrated experience in sales, buying, retailing or alpine product/category management.

  • Experience in pulling together agreements and business plans and executing against them with customers, resorts or alternative stakeholders.

  • Can pick up technical product information quickly and understands how to use alpine technical knowledge to benefit the skier and customer

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data and drive insights

  • Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts
