Analista de Geoprocessamento Júnior (PCD)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Analista de Geoprocessamento Júnior (PCD) based in Brazil. This is an entry-level geospatial role focused on transforming satellite imagery and geographic data into reliable environmental information. You will work across image classification, geospatial analysis, vectorization, mapping, and spatial database preparation. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to projects related to land use, land cover, environmental monitoring, and change detection. You’ll use GIS and remote sensing tools to process and interpret geospatial information according to established methodologies. The role combines technical execution, attention to detail, structured processes, and continuous learning. You’ll collaborate with an experienced team while contributing to documentation and the improvement of geospatial workflows. This is a fully remote opportunity designed for a junior professional looking to develop a career in geoprocessing and environmental applications.

Perform geoprocessing activities involving the collection, processing, analysis, and visualization of geospatial data. Classify and analyze satellite imagery for applications including land use and land cover mapping, change detection, and thematic mapping. Interpret satellite imagery and apply photointerpretation and image-classification techniques. Analyze, edit, and vectorize geographic data using GIS tools. Use GIS platforms and other internal systems to process data and generate geospatial information. Prepare and organize information for integration into spatial databases. Support the production and maintenance of geospatial process manuals and technical documentation. Follow established methodologies, procedures, and quality standards when executing geospatial activities. Perform related activities and support additional project requirements as directed by the team leadership. Requirements Bachelor's degree or technology degree in Cartographic Engineering, Forestry Engineering, Surveying Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geoprocessing, Geography, Biology, or a related field. Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and practical familiarity with GIS software. Basic experience with QGIS or ArcGIS, particularly for geographic data editing and vectorization. Basic knowledge of cartography, remote sensing, geoprocessing, and orbital/multispectral remote sensing. Familiarity with satellite image interpretation, photointerpretation, and image-classification fundamentals. Basic knowledge of Brazilian biomes, vegetation types, and their socio-environmental dynamics. Ability to handle recurring and structured processes methodically, with accuracy and strong attention to detail. Analytical mindset and willingness to continuously develop technical knowledge. Good teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment. Strong organization and self-management skills.
