Analyst - Infrastructure & Real Assets

Position Overview The Analyst of StepStone Group Real Assets LP (“SIRA”) in Sydney will be responsible for providing analytical, modeling, research and other associated support to SIRA’s local and international team in supporting clients with investments in infrastructure and associated real asset sectors globally. Essential Job Functions: Undertake research regarding, and diligence of, potential investment opportunities and sectors, including primary funds, secondaries, co-investments and direct investments Perform financial modelling and analytical tasks – create and/or modify financial models, analyze financial statements and financial forecasts, prepare valuation bridges, run discounted cash flow analysis, comparable public companies, and create sensitivity / scenario analysis; Strong memo / presentation writing and preparation skills; Ability to construct an argument around investment decisions and effectively communicate that argument both verbally and in written materials; be able to defend your position in a team environment, including in Investment Committee meetings; Interact with, and support, team members in delivering on client mandates and materials as required; and Strong client interaction skills – ability to interact with clients and prepare advisory materials as required Education and/or Work Experience Requirements 1 to 3 years of experience at an investment bank, project finance firm, professional services firm, investment manager, Limited Partner, or in associated fields A Bachelor’s degree or MBA (or higher) ideally in a related field such as Business, Finance, Engineering or Economics Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Acute attention to accuracy and detail Effective communication skills and strong problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize activities while working on multiple projects and achieve target deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Power BI Other Attributes: High level of integrity Demonstrate a commitment to StepStone’s firm values around prioritization of clients, confidentiality and respect for others Commitment to learning Promote and demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude Flexibility – StepStone is a dynamic and entrepreneurial organization; all professionals are expected to perform multiple functions   #LI-Hybrid   At StepStone, we believe that our people are our most important asset and crucial to our success.  We are an Equal Opportunity Employer that strives to create an environment that empowers our employees and allows them to be heard, regardless of title or tenure.  Our organizational community features multiple Employment Resource Groups as well as mentorship programs to enhance the employee experience for all.   As an Equal Opportunity Employer, StepStone does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, sex, national origin, citizenship status, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information or any other characteristic protected by law.
