The programme offers four months of full-time research, direct mentorship from Anthropic researchers, shared workspace access in Berkeley or London where applicable, and approximately USD 15,000 per month in compute support. The expected weekly stipend is USD 3,850, GBP 2,310 or CAD 4,300 depending on country, plus country-dependent benefits. Anthropic explicitly states that visa sponsorship is not currently available for Fellows, so participants must already have or independently obtain work authorization in the US, UK or Canada.

Candidates must be fluent in Python, available full-time for the four-month programme and have or independently obtain full-time work authorization in the United States, United Kingdom or Canada. Anthropic says the programme is intended to develop AI research and engineering talent and welcomes promising technical candidates regardless of previous experience, with workstreams spanning AI safety, AI security, ML systems and performance, reinforcement learning, and economics/policy.
