MISSION

Full job description

MISSION Neko is redefining what prevention means, from treating illness when it arrives, to sustaining health before it's ever at risk. Our mission: make data-driven, preventative care accessible to more people, before symptoms appear. In a single, non-invasive visit under an hour, proprietary technology and direct clinical care combine to deliver personalised, actionable insights. It's a team that thinks in 10x, not 10%. Every role here plays a part in building a world where prevention is the norm, and where your work genuinely helps people live longer, healthier lives. Role Purpose As an Assembly Fitter on our Manufacturing team, you will play a critical role in building the medical devices at the heart of Neko Health's clinical scanning technology. You will assemble complex subassemblies involving fine soldering, optical alignment, and precision mechanical fitting, working to the standards required for regulated medical device production. Partnering closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production Management, you will help translate design intent into physical devices that meet exacting tolerances, while contributing to the documentation and process improvements a growing manufacturing operation depends on. This role combines hands on technical craft with quality discipline and a startup mindset, as we build a world class manufacturing operation from the ground up. What You'll Deliver in the First 6–12 Months

  • Assemble medical devices and subassemblies to work instructions, drawings, and specifications, meeting quality and output targets.
  • Perform fine soldering of electronic components and wires to IPC/medical device standards, and carry out optical alignment, cleaning, and assembly of optical components to spec.
  • Fit and adjust mechanical parts, including precision tightening, gluing, and adjustment, working within cleanroom/controlled environment practices where required.
  • Conduct in process quality checks and functional testing, and maintain accurate materials records for traceability under ISO 13485.
  • Contribute to process improvements, work instructions, and documentation, helping build efficient, repeatable assembly practices as the team scales. Minimum Qualifications
  • Technical education (vocational training, mechanical/electrical/optical assembly) or equivalent hands on experience.
  • Proven experience in fine mechanical assembly, soldering, and/or optical handling.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • High level of dexterity, precision, and patience in handling small components.
  • Good documentation skills and a disciplined approach to quality and compliance.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills. Preferred Experience
  • Background in medtech, electronics, or another precision manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working under regulated standards (ISO 13485, ISO 9001, GMP).
  • Problem solving mindset and proactive attitude, with experience adapting to a startup or scale up environment.
  • Experience supporting process improvement or documentation initiatives on a production floor.
