Full job description

Are you a finance professional with experience managing multi-venue operations in hospitality, leisure, or recreation? This is your chance to join a leading Dubai-based hospitality group, overseeing financial management for multisite entities, including managed properties.

Specific responsibilities include:

Finance

  • Liaison with the Finance managers at CLIENT to ensure timely closing of books of account.
  • Managing day to day operations of finance-Accounts payable & Receivables
  • Ensuring monthly review of schedules & preparing variance analysis.
  • Attending Business review meetings with owners
  • Manage cash flow planning, preparation of cash flow and ensure availability of funds as needed
  • Coordinating with Banks for daily operational requirement and managing relationships
  • Preparation of financials as per timelines.
  • Preparation of VAT returns as per tax laws.
  • Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analysis to provide insight into the organizations operations.
  • Coordinate financial reporting requirements of CLIENT(including managed properties) and wasl.
  • Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting.

Budgeting & Planning, Policy, and Investor Relations

  • Coordinate and assist in preparation, development and monitoring of Budgets.
  • Responsible for driving the Budgeting process through financial manager and consolidating the budget.
  • Analyzing key performance indicators, monthly operating results and report significant trends to operational management.
  • Conducting P&L review meetings with club managers, department heads along with finance managers.
  • Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the management team.
  • Remain up to date on audit best practices and IAS laws.

Accounting and Administration

  • To ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems.
  • Contribute to maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
  • Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Coordinate audits, both internal and external.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
  • Finance organization chart to be constantly reviewed and updated.

Quality Responsibilities:

  • Aware of CLIENT Mission, Vision and Values. Will be responsible to apply the 4 Service Steps throughout serving internal and external customers.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant/MBA Finance or eqv.
  • Good leader and Team player
  • 7-10 years experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in hospitality industry is a must
  • Ability to work long hours and under pressure and pre-empt potential problems.
  • Computer Literate MS Office/ Word / Excel / Power Point.
  • Problem solver
  • Excellent knowledge in accounting packages-Working knowledge in SAP is preferred.
  • Self motivated
  • Customer oriented person who is able to interact with all nationalities and levels.
  • Excellent supervision skills.
