Job Title: Assistant Manager Credit
Location: Abu Dhabi Reports To: Head of Credit & Risk
Purpose: Support the Head of Credit & Risk in assessing, underwriting, and approving credit applications within company policy, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and effective risk management in line with board-approved risk appetite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining credit and risk management policies.
- Analyse financial statements, business models, and market trends to identify and mitigate credit risks.
- Conduct detailed credit checks, review securities, and prepare comprehensive credit proposals.
- Collaborate with business teams to safeguard portfolio quality while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with UAE Central Bank and other regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and monitor portfolio MIS, quarterly risk reports, and regulatory submissions.
- Support portfolio monitoring and annual reviews.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Commerce/Finance.
- Minimum 5 years experience in Credit & Risk within a bank or finance company.
- Strong financial analysis and credit assessment skills.
Skills & Competencies:
- Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, risk assessment tools, and MS Office.
