We are currently looking for an Assistant Pastry Chef
As an Assistant Pastry Chef, you are responsible for taking care of the daily food preparation and duties assigned to meet the set standards and qualities, where your role will include key responsibilities such as:
- Oversee pastry and bakery operations, ensuring exceptional quality, consistency, presentation, and cost efficiency in line with luxury standards.
- Develops, designs, or creates new ideas and items for Pastry Kitchen.
- Follows proper handling and right temperature of all food products.
- Maintains food preparation handling and correct storage standards.
- Recognizes superior quality products, presentations and flavor.
- Assists the Pastry Chef with menu development
- Leads and develops the Pastry team through training, coaching, and performance management while upholding the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and service excellence.
- Collaborates with the Pastry Chef to create refined menus, standardized recipes, and innovative offerings that elevate the guest experience.
- Enforce strict health and hygiene standards
- Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation
Experience:
- Previous experience in a large hotel with at least 500 keys in a luxury property required
- Pre-opening experience is an advantage
Requirement:
- Proven work experience as an Assistant Pastry Chef
- Active listening and effective communication skills
- Flexibility to work in shifts
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
