Nanyang Technological University's Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine is recruiting a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Geroscience to build an internationally competitive ageing-research programme and contribute to medical and postgraduate education.
Full job description
The appointee is expected to lead high-quality ageing research, pursue competitive grant and industry funding, publish internationally, supervise students and research staff, and contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. The scope can include cognitive dysfunction, neurodegeneration, metabolic disorders, cancer and innovative therapeutic interventions related to ageing. The position is a 1.0 FTE academic faculty appointment at NTU's Novena Campus.
Requirements & qualifications
The official posting seeks candidates with MBBS/MD and/or PhD qualifications, relevant postdoctoral or clinical experience, and a significant record of translational clinical research and teaching with strong scientific achievement in ageing research or related fields. Candidates should be able to lead multidisciplinary work, supervise staff and students, communicate effectively and contribute to medical education. Prior successful PhD supervision and team/network building are listed as desirable attributes.
