The role sits in the Department of Health and Society and covers health-policy theory and practice, health systems, research methods, Canadian health care, aging and aging-care delivery, international comparisons, political systems and ethical considerations. The official hiring salary range is CAD 115,000–130,000 per year, with negotiations beyond the range possible for exceptionally qualified candidates.
Requirements & qualifications
Candidates must hold a PhD in Health Services Research, Public Health, Public Policy, Social Policy, Social and Behavioural Health Sciences or a related field by the time of appointment or shortly thereafter. Demonstrated excellence in teaching, degree-program teaching experience, curriculum development, mentorship, online instructional development and commitment to inclusive education are required. Canadians and permanent residents are given priority, although all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
