Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer - Civil to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction and supervision projects of a sewerage network and pumping station project, ensuring that it is completed according to the approved design and specifications, and in compliance with local regulations and ADSSC requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Resident Engineer in managing the construction project, including coordinating with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders

- Review and approve construction drawings, materials, and method statements

- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met

- Monitor project progress and report on any issues or delays

- Coordinate with the client and obtain necessary approvals from ADSSC

- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and specifications

- Prepare and review project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and payment certificates

- Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team

- Assist in resolving any technical issues or conflicts that may arise during construction

- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project status and issues

- Ensure that all project activities are carried out in accordance with Stantec's quality management system

- Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction supervision of sewerage networks and pumping stations

- Previous experience working in the United Arab Emirates is preferred

- Familiarity with ADSSC regulations and approval processes

- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and materials

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong organizational and time-management skills

- Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
