This is typically a first engineering role: you’ll build foundational software engineering capability while learning our codebase, development tools, SDLC, and testing practices under the guidance of senior engineers.   You’ll work on well-defined tasks within our AWS-hosted Cloud API (.NET /C#) and/or our Label Traxx ERP platform (4D), supporting the packaging and printing industries our customers serve. No prior experience with 4D or AWS is required — we’re looking for strong fundamentals and a genuine eagerness to learn.   The ideal candidate is early in their career, curious, and eager to build strong engineering fundamentals — someone who asks good questions, takes feedback well, and is motivated to grow into more independent ownership over time.   We value engineers who embrace modern development practices, including collaborative Git workflows, Agile delivery, and responsible use of AI-assisted development tools, and who actively seek feedback to grow their skills.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   Complete well-scoped development tasks within the Cloud API (.NET/C#) and/or Label Traxx (4D) codebases under the guidance of senior engineers. Learn Amtech’s development tools, CI/CD pipeline (GitHub Actions), SDLC, and coding standards.   Write and update basic unit/integration tests for assigned features; debug routine issues with support from the team.   Support team commitments by completing assigned work accurately and on time.   Participate in code reviews, ask questions early, and incorporate feedback into future work.   Communicate progress, blockers, and questions clearly in standups and other structured team settings.   Build familiarity with core ERP business logic (order management, production, inventory, finance) as it relates to assigned tasks.   Gain hands-on exposure to Amtech’s AWS-hosted services (API Gateway, ECS Fargate, DynamoDB, S3) supporting the Cloud API.   Track assigned work using Jira and contribute to Agile ceremonies.   SKILLS  & QUALIFICATIONS   Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).   1–2 years of professional software development experience; internships, coursework, and personal projects count.   Foundational programming skills in C#, .NET, Java, or a similar object-oriented language.   Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL.   Familiarity with Git-based version control.   Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to asking for help and guidance.   Genuine interest in learning enterprise application development and ERP business domains.   Exposure to or interest in cloud platforms (AWS) is a plus.   Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) is a plus.   W hy Join Amtech   At Amtech, you will drive meaningful technical impact in a growing enterprise software organization while benefiting from Vista’s world-class ecosystem. You’ll collaborate with talented peers, leverage cross-portfolio learning programs, and help shape the future of Amtech’s Cloud API and Label Traxx platforms.
