Full job description

Lexington Medical, Inc. is a medical device company developing and manufacturing minimally invasive surgical stapling solutions in the Boston area. With the highest standards in design engineering and smart manufacturing, our team delivers disruptive technology to healthcare providers, improving surgical outcomes for patients in a thriving $6B+ surgical stapler market. Rooted in a talent-dense culture, we are committed to innovation, foster continuous growth, and achieve great heights together. At Lexington Medical, Inc., you will have the opportunity to impact the lives of millions of patients worldwide while thriving in a fast-growing MedTech company. Role Overview: As an Associate Territory Manager at Lexington Medical, you will support territory development and customer engagement alongside senior members of the sales team. This is a field-based, apprenticeship-style role designed to build the clinical, technical, and commercial skills required to become a high-performing surgical sales professional. You will work directly with surgeons and theatre staff, support procedures, and help build new business across your territory. Success in this role requires learning speed, strong execution, and the ability to operate effectively in demanding clinical environments. Associates who demonstrate ownership, clinical competence, and results have a clear pathway to a full Territory Manager role with quota and commission — we promote on performance, not tenure or time served. Your work will directly support products that impact millions of patients worldwide. Responsibilities: Support territory growth by assisting in account penetration and stakeholder development. Build and maintain relationships with surgeons, theatre staff, and hospital personnel. Be present in theatre during procedures — observe, support product usage, and answer clinical questions. Support account strategies including trials, evaluations, and conversions. Generate new business through direct outreach and proactive prospecting. Collaborate with sales team members and cross-functional partners to meet customer needs. Manage product availability, consignment stock, and case preparation across your accounts. Gather and communicate customer feedback to R&D, Operations, and Marketing. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; candidates with relevant clinical or allied health education and theatre experience will also be considered. A demonstrated track record of achievement in one or more of the following: competitive athletics or team-based environments, outside sales or business development, or clinical/healthcare settings (e.g., theatre, patient care, or procedural support). Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust quickly across diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical or clinical information in real-world settings, and to proactively generate new opportunities through outreach and follow-up. Strong organisational, time-management, and planning skills, with resilience in fast-paced, high-pressure clinical environments. High degree of ownership, accountability, and professionalism. Full working rights in Australia (this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship) and a current Australian driver’s licence. Curiosity, ownership mindset, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. What Success Looks Like In This Role: Within the first 3–6 months, you are confidently supporting cases in theatre, building relationships across your accounts, and contributing to territory activity alongside your Territory Manager. Within the first year, you are independently driving activity in parts of your territory, converting trials and evaluations, and demonstrating readiness for a quota-carrying Territory Manager role. You are known for clinical competence, reliability in theatre, and a bias toward action that earns the trust of surgeons and theatre staff. Location & Work Arrangement: This is a field-based role covering a Sydney, NSW territory. It involves regular travel within your territory, including driving and periodic overnight travel, and may include participation in an after-hours on-call roster to support surgical cases. A car allowance is provided.
