A*STAR's January 2027 ARIA intake gives Singaporean STEM undergraduates a paid research internship at A*STAR research institutes.

The January 2027 intake commenced in late June 2026, and ASTAR states ARIA applications are open year-round. Awardees receive S$1,600 to S$2,000 per month. Internship duration is typically 16–24 weeks during semester or at least 12 weeks during vacation, subject to university requirements. Applicants choose relevant ASTAR research projects and may submit separate applications for multiple projects.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be Singaporean undergraduates in at least their second year, studying computing/information science, engineering and technology, physical sciences, biomedical, life or food sciences; be on track for at least Second Upper Class Honours or CGPA 4.0/5.0 equivalent; have research-career interest; and not have previously received ARIA.
