As the leading academic center of excellence in Cambodia, the American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP) continues to enhance its academic offerings by introducing formal undergraduate concentrations designed to provide students with additional academic pathways and stronger preparation for future career opportunities.

AUPP has introduced two new concentrations under the Bachelor of Science in Business program, under its Faculty of Business and Management: AI and Business Analytics and FinTech and Banking. These concentrations are developed in response to growing industry demand and Cambodia’s rapidly evolving digital economy, equipping students with specialized knowledge and skills relevant to today’s competitive job market.

Unlike traditional programs, AUPP’s concentration model allows students to build specialized expertise within their existing degree structure by completing a defined set of courses primarily through their elective requirements. This approach enables students to gain a focused professional identity without adding additional time or credits toward degree completion.

The AI and Business Analytics concentration focuses on preparing students to understand and apply emerging technologies, data-driven decision-making, and analytical tools in modern business environments. The concentration includes courses such as Digital and Social Media Analytics, Data Visualization, AI Applications in Business, and Business Intelligence and Predictive Analytics.

The FinTech and Banking concentration is designed to develop students’ understanding of the intersection between finance, technology, and innovation. Through courses covering areas such as International Economics, Tech Ventures, Blockchain and Digital Currencies, Cross-Border Payments and Digital Wallets, and Digital Banking Systems, students will explore the transformation of financial services in the digital era.
