Complete training program details
The Research Training Program funds eligible Australian higher education providers to support higher degree by research students. Universities may offer RTP support as a tuition-fee offset, stipend and/or research-related allowances. The published 2027 full-time base stipend rate is AUD 35,550 and the maximum rate is AUD 55,537. Applications and deadlines are set by each participating university.
Eligibility requirements
Domestic or international students must be enrolled in an accredited research doctorate or research master's at an eligible Australian university. Universities run competitive selection and may apply additional criteria.
