The Beca Universidad de Chile (BUCH) is a university tuition benefit for 100 students entering undergraduate study in 2027. It finances the full matrícula and arancel for any Universidad de Chile undergraduate degree or program. Applications are submitted through an online form available from 21 September 2026 until noon on 19 October 2026, with the Registro Social de Hogares record attached. Candidates are ranked using the university's published BUCH weighting across PAES scores, school ranking and secondary-school grades. Final award requires admission to and timely enrollment in a regular Universidad de Chile undergraduate program, and the scholarship is not awarded to students assigned Gratuidad, Beca Vocación de Profesor or an equivalent MINEDUC benefit.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be in the fourth year of secondary education in 2026, have a secondary-school grade average of at least 6.0, submit the Registro Social de Hogares record and be within the stated up-to-90% socioeconomic classification band. They must take the PAES for 2027 admission and obtain an average of at least 700 weighted points across the mandatory Reading Competence and Mathematics M1 tests, apply for MINEDUC student benefits for 2027 admission, authorize sharing of PAES results through DEMRE, and not have Gratuidad, Beca Vocación de Profesor or an equivalent benefit.
