Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) – Full-Time | 1st Shift

📍 Silvermist Recovery – Renfrew, PA 💰 $17.00–$18.00/hour (based on experience) 🕘 Full-Time | 1st Shift | 7:30 AM–4:00 PM 📅 Friday–Tuesday

Make a Difference in Recovery

Silvermist Recovery, a Pyramid Healthcare program in Renfrew, PA, is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our 1st Shift team.

As a BHT, you’ll play an important role in supporting clients throughout their residential treatment experience. You’ll help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment while encouraging clients as they work toward stability and lasting recovery.

What You’ll Do

Assist with the intake and admission process for new clients

Monitor and document client behaviors, activities, and progress

Observe and document client self-administration of medications, as applicable

Provide client transportation and supervise clients during travel

Coordinate and oversee daily client activities and programming

Support individualized treatment goals and care plans

Respond appropriately to client needs and assist with crisis intervention when necessary

Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly treatment environment

Assist with meals and accommodate client dietary needs

Establish and maintain appropriate therapeutic boundaries

Follow all staff policies, procedures, and ethical standards

Complete required training and participate in ongoing professional development

Perform other duties as assigned to support the program and clients

What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous behavioral health, healthcare, residential treatment, or related experience preferred

Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record

CPR, AED, and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain

Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills

Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in crisis situations

Professionalism, reliability, and a genuine desire to help others

Familiarity with behavioral health standards and compliance requirements is a plus
