📍 Jacksonville, NC💰 $18–$19 per hour (based on experience)🕒 Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:00 PM | On-Call Required

About the Role

Pyramid Healthcare is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Lead for our outpatient program in Jacksonville, NC. This is a leadership role for an experienced BHT who wants to support staff, coordinate daily operations, and ensure high-quality client care in a structured outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support Behavioral Health Technicians during assigned shifts

Provide coaching, guidance, and training to BHT staff

Communicate client updates and shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care

Assist with scheduling and staffing coverage

Support new client intake and orientation

Document client progress, incidents, and daily logs accurately

Observe and document medication self-administration per protocol

Coordinate and supervise therapeutic activities and programming

Respond to behavioral crises and ensure client safety

Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment

Assist clients with daily living needs and dietary support

Complete required trainings and maintain regulatory compliance

Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or GED

1+ year experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, mental health, or healthcare

Preferred:

2+ years behavioral health experience

CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Prior leadership or charge experience

Skills:

Strong communication and documentation skills

Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and professionally

Knowledge of HIPAA and regulatory compliance standards

Team leadership and problem-solving abilities

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the day

Lift up to 50 lbs and assist clients as needed

Frequent use of hands and arms; occasional bending, kneeling, and crouching

Work Environment

Outpatient clinical behavioral health setting

Moderate noise level and client interaction

Possible exposure to infectious diseases and psychiatric emergencies

Local travel may be required; reliable transportation needed
