Business Development Manager

As imaging systems become faster and smarter, Optotune’s liquid lens technology enables precise, reliable, and high-speed optical performance without mechanical focusing.As our Business Development Manager, you will connect market needs with innovative optical solutions. You will identify trends, discover new application opportunities, help shape future products, and work closely with sales to drive sustainable growth and create real customer value.

Tasks

• Strategic development of Optotune’s business in the imaging market

• Identification of customer pain points and where Optotune can add real value

• Development of strategic partnerships with key players of the ecosystem

• Market research & definition of new products

• Acquisition of new customers worldwide

• Creation of business plans, go-to-market strategies, sales & training materials

• Content creation for marketing materials

• Participation in trade shows

Requirements

• Must have technical background (MSc or equivalent)

• At least 5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in optics/photonics or machine vision

• Experience in management consulting advantageous

• Ability to identify new customers, build up & maintain relationships

• Ability to understand customers' technical requirements and suggest solutions

• Passion for technology & innovation, winning personality, well organized, autonomous and prepared to travel internationally

• Excellent knowledge of English, good knowledge of German, other languages advantageous

• Good working knowledge in MS Office applications & AI tools
